Gunman in Neighborhood Dispute Sought

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are seeking the gunman who opened fire during a neighborhood dispute Friday.

Violent crime detectives are looking for London James Holley, 19, wanted for the shooting of Joseph Capcin, 28, after a verbal altercation in the 500 block of East Waldburg Street around noon today.

Several neighbors were arguing in front of their houses on the north side of the street when Holley pulled out a gun and aimed it at Capcin. Capcin walked away and into his house before Holley fired. The bullet struck a doorway and then Capcin’s knee.

He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police immediately began looking for Holley, who left running East on Waldburg and toward Park Avenue

He is described as black, 5-foot-10, 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He may have a moustache.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
