Just in time for Halloween, dancers will gather tomorrow (Saturday) for a simultaneous worldwide dance beginning at (5 PM ET). The choreographed dance is set to Michael Jackson's hit "Thriller" and will be performed by groups worldwide in an attempt to set a new world record. Thousands of people in cities around the globe will learn the same choreography and perform it at precisely the same time. Events around the globe stream live on ThrillTheWorld.com.
... Thrill the World is the brainchild of dancer and choreographer Ines Markeljevic of Toronto, Canada. She says the event resonates with people around the globe because Thriller is so iconic.The event started in 2006 with 62 dancers and has grown exponentially. In 2012, over 9,600 dancers at 181 registered events in 21 countries took part in Thrill the World. Organizers expect even more participants in 2013.
