Airlines do NOT want in-flight calls allowed

Both Delta and JetBlue have ruled that passengers won’t be able to make in-flight phone calls, even if the FCC decides to overturn the existing ban.  The decision was reportedly based on consumer data; multiple polls have revealed people don’t want phone calls to be allowed at 40,000 feet.  Delta did specify that if the FCC policy is changed, passengers will be permitted to text and email on their mobile devices.  Thank heavens!
